Cherokee Elementary Music
View Events/Assignments for
Each child gets to participate in music during a thirty minute class time each week. During that time, students sing, learn to read music, play rhythm instruments, learn about composers, practice for programs, and much more! Students in 3rd through 6th grade learn to play the recorder.
Different grade levels or individual students perform throughout the year in programs such as:
*Veteran’s Day Program
*Fine Arts Festival - The festival will be held at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, May 2nd 2020!!!! It will showcase the talented students of the Colbert County Schools. Look for more updated information about this special event in the Spring!!
Excited for our second annual COLBERT COUNTY FINE ARTS FESTIVAL. The festival will be held Saturday, May 5th, 10:00 AM- 3:00 PM and will showcase many Colbert County students various talents.

- Music Class
*Third grades are learning to play the recorder in music class. Students need to remember to have all music supplies each week at their scheduled music time.
*Fifth and Sixth grades are working on Patriotic and Christmas songs on the recorder. Students are also working in the Recorder Express Book and learning rhythms on the bucket drums. Students need to remember all music supplies each week at their scheduled music time.
