MUSIC
Each child gets to participate in music during a thirty minute class time each week. During that time, students sing, learn to read music, play rhythm instruments, learn about composers, practice for programs, and much more! Students in 3rd through 6th grade learn to play the recorder.
Different grade levels or individual students perform throughout the year in programs such as:
*Veteran’s Day Program
*Christmas Program
*Spring Program
*Talent Show
Due to the pandemic Music classes are being taught virtual on Schoology. This approach is new to all of us, but I am excited to have this opportunity to offer technology based learning strategies for our Elementary Music students. I will be uploading new Music Lessons weekly to ensure that new material is available and all Music Standards are being taught.
Music aids in helping students develop discipline, creativity, confidence, and improves critical thinking skills. It helps enhance memory and teaches students about many different cultures.
