- A student will be allowed ten (10) home written notes per year (5 per semester) to excuse an absence.
- Three (3) classroom unexcused tardies will equal one (1) unexcused absence on the student's attendance record.
- A student is allowed three (3) tardies per semester, on the fourth (4th) tardy, the student will receive an automatic Saturday School Assignment at the Colbert County Board of Education.
- A student is allowed five (5) check-in/check-outs per semester by a parent or guardian contacting their school attendance office, after the 5th check-in/check-out a parent and/or guardian MUST come to the school to check the student in and/or out.
- If a high school student misses more than nine (9) absences in any class, he/she may not receive credit for that class.
- If an elementary student does not attend at least 160 days of school (has 20 or more absences) they may not be promoted to the next grade.
