Hi, my name is Ashley Hogeland. I am originally from Fayette, Alabama. I received my Undergraduate degree from Birmingham-Southern College in 2009 and my Master's degree from UAB in 2012. My masters is in Visual Impairment with a Certification in Orientation and Mobility.
Once I graduated college, I returned home to Fayette and taught elementary special education for 8 years.
I got married in the Summer of 2017 and moved to Cherokee, Alabama where I live with my husband Darrin. He is an EMT and the Fire Chief for the Cherokee Volunteer Firefighter Department. I have one son, Tucker who will be 2 year old in October and three stepchildren.
I am so excited to be teaching at Cherokee Elementary School. I work with students with disabilities in grades K-3. I know this will be a great year!
