Background Information Cherokee High School was founded in 1925 in Cherokee, Alabama. The school serves 320 students in grades 7-12. Students are offered an academic curriculum that includes music, art, foreign language, the humanities, science, math, and career & technical education. Graduates of the school are active in all career areas including medicine, engineering, accounting, construction, teaching, drama, professional sports, law, and communications.
